Farm+Fish+Flowers (Tour des Fluers): Public Tour to Half Moon Bay's Bounty

Tours des Fleurs as it was previously known to many (now Farm + Fish + Flowers) is a once-a-year event that gives opportunities to locals and non-residents of the area to experience and to see for themselves what’s going on in every production. It takes its visitors to Half Moon Bay Coastside’s nurseries/greenhouses, historic sites, farms and even a working harbor. Tours de Fleurs will give the visitors a backstage pass, so to speak, of the behind the scene operations and an exclusive tour of the plant or the facility. Often, we wonder how wines are made, how family businesses prosper, what their secrets are in maintaining a successful business and many more.

Tours de Fleurs will give us answers to these questions. You will also learn about the sustainable fishing practices, how a certain farm produces world-class cheese daily, and some fun facts about the rich history of the downtown Half Moon Bay. This annual event is usually attended by locals and tourists; taking advantage of this one-of-a-kind experience since this is not ordinarily open to the general public everyday — only during the celebration of Farm + Fish + Flowers.

Adding extra fun and excitement to the experience are these four new offerings: Root Down Farm, Shelldance Orchid Gardens, TomKat Ranch, and Vida Verde Nature Education. Other tour locations being offered are Ananda Valley Farm, Bay City Flower Company, Harley Farms Goat Dairy, The James Johnston House, Markegard Ranch and many more.
