Discover Año Nuevo State Park

Known for its natural beauty and affluent resources from natural resources down to cultural resource, Año Nuevo State Park has been drawing a crowd of people over the years.

The park has a Marine Education Center where it houses history exhibits, bookstore, and theater. Its Natural Preserve wows every visitor because of the elephant seals enjoying their natural habitat. These elephant seals can be observed year-round through the wildlife viewing area. Guests can either go all by themselves or get a ticket for the guided walk.

Paths leading to the seals are easy peasy since the trails ate mostly paved or flat. There are few short hut steep climbs through the sand; however, that won’t stop the tourists from taking the trail.

More than its elephant seals, Año Nuevo State Park offers scenic views of the ocean. Its peaceful and relaxing ambiance makes it more appealing to people looking for an escape from the busy city life. Checking out the Cove Beach is also a good idea.
